Happy Labor Day U.S. readers!
Today we’ve got a gorgeous anniversary shoot to share with you guys, that’s also loaded with inspiration for anyone planning a wedding, elopement, or engagement or honeymoon photo session.
Featuring (loved-up/stylish/all-round beautiful) real couple, Margeaux & Andrew, this romantic waterside session was photographed by Emily Sacco Photography and planned and designed by Lauren Groeper of Chancey Charm Weddings, Denver.
Scroll down to gush at this sweet shoot (and to check out the recipe behind the pretty cocktails), but first up, read a little more about the story, and the couple behind the photo session, from Lauren of Chancey Charm Weddings.
About the Shoot
This anniversary shoot was inspired by and centered around the beautiful lake house venue and our real married couple who were about to celebrate their 1st anniversary.
We wanted to incorporate the gentle flow and easiness of the water, as well as the water colouring, into different details throughout the anniversary session.
A few of these details included the hand dyed edges of the invitation suite from Priyanka at Paper Trails Design Co, the flowing silk ribbons hanging from the newlywed’s bouquet, and the beautiful wedding gown blowing in the wind.
Margeaux and Andrew spent most of the day eating, drinking and relaxing while out on the lake soaking up the sunshine. The mood was sweet and playful.
One of our favorite details during this casual time was the floral ice cubes from Brittany of Hana Style Designs, which she created using ice cube molds and a few of her favorite blooms.
Another highlight of the day was for the other vendors and I to watch Brittany create all of her floral designs on site.
She arrived with buckets of flowers, and it was fascinating to see her create the cascading boat design and the dinner design that included lanterns and driftwood. The floral design was a fantastic focal point that stood out in all aspects of the anniversary session.
At dusk, the couple re-emerged in their formalwear to savor an intimate dinner. After a very fun and exciting day, the tone turned more serious as they reflected on their renewed commitments to each other for their second year of marriage.
Emily from Emily Sacco Photography truly captured the romantic chemistry between the couple. Both in person and through these photos you can tell that Margeaux and Andrew can’t get enough of each other, and we wish them many more happy years of marriage to come!
